It represents redemption, cleansing, protection, and victory over every work of darkness.   From the moment Jesus shed His blood on the cross, it became the ultimate proof of God’s covenant with His people - a covenant that breaks every form of bondage, including generational curses. Throughout the Bible, we see examples of how applying blood brought deliverance and broke curses. • At the Passover (Exodus 12:13): The Israelites were in slavery for 400 years, but when they applied the blood of a lamb to their doorposts, the curse of bondage was broken, and they were set free.   This foreshadowed the blood of Jesus, which delivers us from spiritual slavery. • Then there was Rahab’s Scarlet Cord (Joshua 2:18-21): Rahab, a woman from a cursed city (Jericho), used a scarlet cord—a symbol of blood—to mark her home. Many believers long for deliverance from generational curses.   Both hands are up. I long for deliverance from these cycles of dysfunction, bondage, and oppression that seem to persist in my family. I am glad to hear some of you over the last few weeks stating how you have come to now understand these bad breaks you have been experiencing and those bad habits you’ve been noticing in your families are actually generational curses that need to be broken. We have identified prayer, fasting, and spiritual warfare as powerful tools to help us in this area. Today, we will look at one key aspect often overlooked - forgiveness. Spiritual warfare is a reality that every believer must acknowledge. The Bible makes it clear that our battle is not against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces of darkness.
