Fresh Anointing to Walk in Greater Faith and Trust
The words faith and trust are words that we hear and speak about on a daily basis.
In reality, Christian or not, we all have faith, we all have a level of trust. Many of us will still fly in spite of the recent plane crashes we’ve heard about on the news. We have faith that our flight will be safe. We trust the pilots, the engineers, the control tower officers.
We trust that the chair we sit on will hold us up, we have faith that our husbands or wives will keep the marriage vow. We trust our politicians to do the right thing when we elect them. We have faith that when we're driving and we turn a corner that the road will be clear and we don't collide with another vehicle or drive over a cliff.
And this begs a serious question as it relates to our spirituality - our belief in God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth.
Because when we moan and complain about something not going right in our lives, we are doubting that God can make a way out of no way. We say we trust Him. We say we have faith. But when we complain and lament, we are actually doubting the power of God to do what seems impossible, turn things around for us in our health, our families, with our finances.
Today, we seek fresh anointing to walk in greater faith and trust.
I submit to us that the greatest trust and faith we can have is in God—who never fails, never changes, and always keeps His promises. Unlike people or things that may falter, God is completely trustworthy, and His Word is a firm foundation on which we can stand.
So what is the Biblical definition of faith? Hebrews 11:1 KJV “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen”.
And what is trust? It is confidence in God’s character, according to Jeremiah 17 verse 7 NIV which says “But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in him”; and Psalm 9 verse 10 NIV which says “Those who know your name trust in you…”.
Family, walking in faith and trust requires more than just knowledge of God’s promises—it requires a fresh anointing from the Holy Spirit.
Just as oil was used to anoint kings and priests for their divine assignments, we, too, need a continual renewal of God’s power to walk boldly in faith and unwavering trust.
Isaiah 61:1 (KJV) declares, “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me; because the Lord hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound.”
And what is so great about our God is that this anointing is not just for ministers or pastors or evangelists—it is for daily living, for all us.
This fresh anointing that we seek empowers us to trust God more deeply and step forward in faith, even when the path is unclear.
In Psalm 92:10 (NIV), David says, “You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.”
This fresh anointing strengthens and equips us to overcome doubt, fear, and uncertainty.
When we rely on past experiences alone, our faith can grow stagnant. But with a fresh touch from God, our trust is renewed, and we gain the courage to believe for greater things.
2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV) reminds us, “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
When we receive a fresh anointing, we are no longer bound by what we see in the natural. Instead, we trust in God's unseen hand, knowing that He is leading us toward His perfect will.
To receive this fresh anointing to walk in greater faith and trust, we must seek God daily—through prayer, worship, and meditating on His Word. Because it is available to you and it’s available for me.
As we receive this fresh anointing, the Holy Spirit will refresh our hearts, increase our faith, and deepen our trust in God’s unfailing promises.
We can no longer sit idly by Family, or resign into the position where we say oh I can’t be like Jesus. Oh I don’t have the capacity to forgive and restore anymore. Oh I am not going to church because there are too many people there not living right.
We can no longer sit by and say I am facing too many struggles right now and I don’t see God coming through for me so this faith and trust kinda hard for me right now.
Family, we have to continuously have a hunger and thirst for a fresh outpouring of the Spirit. Without that, we are powerless.
If we want to walk in greater faith and trust, fully confident that He who called us is faithful to fulfill His word, we must avail ourselves to receive a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit’s anointing.
1 Thessalonians 5:24, NIV reassures us “The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.”
So let us ask God to help us to have more faith and trust in Him to see us through every situation in our lives.
