Obedience and Breakthrough: Walking in the Power of God’s Blessings

I believe that all of us here want to continue to receive the blessings of the Lord. Correct? Whether the world admits it or not, we cannot survive without the blessings of God. Sinner and saint all benefit from God's common grace - His kindness and blessings given to all people, regardless of their faith, such as life, nature, and opportunities.   However, there is a special grace that is available only to those who trust and obey God . This is the saving and transformative grace that leads to salvation and spiritual growth.   So these blessings are reserved for those who are obedient: 1. Salvation and Eternal Life – John 3:36 2. Peace Beyond Understanding - Philippians 4:7 3. Divine Guidance – Proverbs 3:5-6 4. Answered Prayers – 1 John 3:22 5. Spiritual Growth and Fruitfulness – John 15:5 So it stands to reason that if we want to receive breakthrough from generational curses and walk   in the power of God’s blessings, we must be obedient to His comm...

Restoring the Family Altar: How Prayer & Worship Break Strongholds

As I began to study this topic, I did a double take. Because the topic suggests that 1) we know what a family altar is, 2) we understand the importance of having a family altar 3) we had a family altar that was broken and we want to restore it and 4) we acknowledge the ingredients necessary to get back on track. The family altar is a sacred place, whether literal or symbolic, where families gather to seek God, worship, and intercede for one another.   In a world filled with distractions, maintaining this spiritual practice is crucial.   Unfortunately, many families have allowed their altars to fall into disrepair. The demands of life, spiritual complacency, and the enemy’s tactics have weakened this essential practice.   From the earliest times, families built altars to honour God. Genesis 12:7 (NLT) tells us, “Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, ‘I will give this land to your descendants.’ And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeare...

Speak Life: Declaring Freedom Over Yourself & Your Family

Words are powerful. They can build up or tear down, bless or curse, bring life or death. A lot of us learn this the hard way, me included. Proverbs 18:21 (AMP) reminds us: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it and indulge it will eat its fruit and bear the consequences of their words.” Many people struggle to speak life because of cultural influences, personal experiences, or a lack of faith. It’s easy to echo negativity when surrounded by doubt, hardship, or fear. But God calls us to be intentional with our words, declaring freedom and blessings over ourselves and our families. Family, when we know better we must do better. Many of us grew up hearing negative words being thrown about our homes and at us specifically. And many of us did that to our own families. Today may not be the first time you’re hearing that this is not good, but today might be the day we get deliverance from the consequences of negative words. Throughout Scripture, we see how negat...
