Thursday - The Road to Purpose: Walking with the Risen Christ Purpose, from a biblical perspective, is not merely about achieving goals or fulfilling personal ambitions. It is about living in alignment with the will of God, understanding why we were created, and walking daily in the good works that God has prepared for us.   Ephesians 2:10 (KJV) says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."   Our purpose is rooted in Christ. It's not something we find in the world or manufacture ourselves; it is something revealed to us as we walk with Him. This is why the image of a road is so powerful. A road implies movement, direction, and a journey. It suggests that we are not meant to stay in one place spiritually, emotionally, or mentally. Instead, we are to journey forward with intention. But here's the thing—it's not just about walking; it's about who we're walking with.   ...

Restored by Grace: Peter’s Redemption

In the book of Luke chapter 22 and verses 54–62 (NKJV) we read the story of denial, betrayal, regret, shame, disappointment - when one of the disciples, Peter, refused to acknowledge the Messiah Jesus.   “Having arrested Him, they led Him and brought Him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed at a distance. Now when they had kindled a fire in the midst of the courtyard and sat down together, Peter sat among them. And the Lord turned and ...

Encounters with the Risen Christ: When Jesus Shows Up

Some of us learnt yesterday that Easter is not over. The season continues. Indeed, we are all reminded that we must live the Easter Story, as Easter is not just an annual event that we commemorate as part of the religious calendar, but a living, breathing reality.   Easter is not only about what happened then, but about what continues to happen now. We thank God that the resurrection of Jesus Christ isn’t the end of the story, because even though we are living in this dispensation and we know how the story goes, many of us would still be lost. We would miss out on the reason that Jesus died on the cross - so that we can have eternal life. God, in His infinite wisdom, continues to extend His grace and mercy towards us.   So Easter is the continuation of God's movement in the lives of real people—people like you and me.   Jesus didn’t just rise from the grave; He shows up. And when He shows up, everything changes. In Luke 24:15-16 (ESV), two disciples are walking on the roa...
