In the Presence of The King
You are welcome in this place Holy Spirit. We have come by ZJoyVI from around the world staying in Your Presence. We ask Lord that You fill us with Your Power, live in us and through us Comforter and Counsellor, please take complete control.
Spirit of the Living God, fall afresh on us today. Melt us right now God, mold us, fill us and use us for Your glory. Spirit of the Living God, fall fresh on us today.
In the hustle and bustle of life, it sometimes gets a little or a lot overwhelming as we try to maintain our Christian walk even in our very homes, on the job and as we go from place to place.
Thanks be to God, as we grow spiritually, as we get stronger in the Lord, we learn how to go through situations where we face obstacles, situations where people rise up against us unfairly, situations when the month is more than the money, thanks be to God that when those health issues arise, we face these situations like the champions we are in Christ Jesus. Amen?!
I want us to be reminded as we go through this day and indeed the rest of our lives, that no matter what we may face, that we’ve got to remain in the presence of the King, Christ Jesus.
That’s where we will find love, comfort, hope, peace and joy.
Now of course, this is a deeply personal relationship and journey that we must have and take with Jesus. You can only encourage me and I can only encourage you. But certainly we can each live exemplary lives so that others can emulate us as we follow Christ.
Because in truth and in fact, Family one can go to church or have family worship several times a day every day, you can fast and pray - regular fast, partial or intermittent fasting, Daniel fast, or Esther fast - but if we don’t get into the moment, if I don’t apply myself, as it were, it will all be in vain.
What happens during and after this consecration is truly what matters. How are we living? And not only when someone is watching us. Remember God is always watching and He sees and knows and is the Righteous Judge.
So remaining in the presence of Jesus is a spiritual journey I can’t walk for you and you can’t walk for me.
You will continue to hear us teaching, preaching, mentioning, encouraging us here to read the Bible for yourself, pray to God often and do all you can to be like Jesus: be loving, kind, humble, faithful, true, honest, forgiving and the like. This admonition I take for myself first and foremost as I repeat it in your hearing over and over again.
In the presence of the King, Christ Jesus, Family, is where we want to be. Yes we are in the world and sometimes our ears hear some things and our eyes gaze on some situations that ain’t pleasant at all, before we can even realize what’s going on. And so we have to be on the alert. We must stay on high alert.
There’s a warning against idolatry in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18 - ”Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? What harmony is there between Christ and Belial? Or what does a believer have in common with an unbeliever? What agreement is there between the temple of God and idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” Therefore, “Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you.” And, “I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.”“
We have to guard ourselves as Christians, being careful not to compromise the standard of God to be a part of the popular crowd.
We are called to stay in the presence of The King Christ Jesus. That is where we will find love, comfort, hope, peace and joy….number one: through prayer and meditation.
The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-9 - ”Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Summing it all up, friends, I’d say you’ll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse. Put into practice what you learned from me, what you heard and saw and realized. Do that, and God, who makes everything work together, will work you into his most excellent harmonies“.
In the presence of the King, Jesus Christ, is where we will find love, comfort, hope, peace and joy…number two: through studying the Bible.
Psalms 19:7-8 ”The law of the Lord is perfect, refreshing the soul. The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple. The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart. The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.“
Psalm 119:105 “Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Family, in the presence of the King, Christ Jesus, is where we will find love, comfort, hope, peace and joy…number three: through serving others out of a heart of love and compassion.
Matthew 25:40 - “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”
Family, in the presence of the King, Jesus Christ, is where we will find love, comfort, hope, peace and joy…number four: through our faith and belief.
Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith, it is impossible to please God because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
We have a high calling as children of God. And we cannot be afraid to step up to the plate. We cannot be shy. We must not feel like it’s too much, too many rules. We cannot take the stance that it’s too confusing to understand everything God wants us to in His Word.
Isaiah 55:8-9 ”“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.“
Once we remain in the presence of the King, through prayer and meditation, studying the Bible, serving others out of a heart of love and compassion, and through our faith and belief, God will be there for us. He will lead us, guide us, provide for us, protect us, and save us in His Eternal Kingdom.
We must see this as our responsibility as children of God, to always remain in the presence of the King Christ Jesus, whether we are at home, at work, at school, or at play.
Let us all challenge ourselves again today, Family, take a record and honestly grade ourselves or have someone grade us.
Time is running out for us to get it right.
