Fresh Anointing for Fruitfulness

“I am the Real Vine and my Father is the Farmer. He cuts off every branch of me that doesn’t bear grapes. And every branch that is grape-bearing he prunes back so it will bear even more. You are already pruned back by the message I have spoken. “Live in me. Make your home in me just as I do in you. In the same way that a branch can’t bear grapes by itself but only by being joined to the vine, you can’t bear fruit unless you are joined with me. “I am the Vine, you are the branches. When you’re joined with me and I with you, the relation intimate and organic, the harvest is sure to be abundant. Separated, you can’t produce a thing. Anyone who separates from me is deadwood, gathered up and thrown on the bonfire. But if you make yourselves at home with me and my words are at home in you, you can be sure that whatever you ask will be listened to and acted upon. This is how my Father shows who he is—when you produce grapes, when you mature as my disciples.”

That’s the Word of the Lord taken from the gospel of St. John chapter 15 verses 1-8 and I read from The Message version of The Bible.

What jumped out at me from this scripture is the importance of connection.

Today, we are called to remember who is The Source of fresh anointing and the power we get to be fruitful  when we stay connected to the Real Vine - Jesus Christ and the Farmer - our God.

Today we come seeking fresh anointing for fruitfulness in our lives.

Now we understand that fruitfulness isn’t just about success in worldly terms. Rather, it’s about living a life that reflects God’s purpose, bringing life, joy, and blessing to others.

So we would be encouragers instead of trying to tear one another down. We would look after ourselves, which may include changing our diet, exercising, continuously learning, growing in wisdom, and generally making better use of our time, talents and treasures.

When we seek and receive fresh anointing for fruitfulness, we would see results in our families, friends circles, and in the community - as healthy relationships are nurtured through love, forgiveness, and understanding.

We would see results as our ministries begin or continue to thrive. We would see results as our businesses are profitable and we are able to complete that personal project or two that we've been working on.

Most importantly, Family, when we  seek and receive fresh anointing for fruitfulness, we would fulfil our calling and grow spiritually.

Colossians 3:23-24 “Do your best. Work from the heart for your real Master, for God, confident that you’ll get paid in full when you come into your inheritance. Keep in mind always that the ultimate Master you’re serving is Christ.”

1 Peter 4:10-11 “Be generous with the different things God gave you, passing them around so all get in on it: if words, let it be God’s words; if help, let it be God’s hearty help. That way, God’s bright presence will be evident in everything through Jesus, and he’ll get all the credit as the One mighty in everything—encores to the end of time. Oh, yes!”

Ephesians 2:10 “No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.”

When we receive fresh anointing for fruitfulness, Family, our relationship with God will be deepened, we will grow in faith and we will display the  fruit of the Spirit everywhere we go.

Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Perhaps like me you are still working on a couple of these characteristics.

We are saying today that we have to stay connected to the Real Vine who will anoint us for fruitfulness. God is the Ultimate Source of life and power. Without Him, we dry up spiritually. And that's when we start conforming to the world, giving people reason to criticize the Body of Christ.

Remember now, fresh anointing is a renewed empowerment from the Holy Spirit that brings strength, wisdom, and divine enablement to fulfill God’s purpose in a new season.

So fresh anointing flows only when we stay in God's Word that feeds our spirits, guides and strengthens us for a fruitful life. Matthew 4:4 “People need more than bread for their life; they must feed on every word that God speaks.”

The Holy Spirit is the fresh oil that empowers us for fruitfulness. John 3:34 tells us “God gives the Spirit in unlimited measure.”

And when we receive the fresh anointing for fruitfulness Family we have to make sure that we stay connected to the right people.

Proverbs 13:20 “Become wise by walking with the wise; hang out with fools and watch your life fall to pieces.”

Iron sharpens iron. An example is right here at ZJoyVI. Holy Spirit-filled believers encouraging one another in the Lord.

I want to encourage us today to continue to walk in our divine assignment. We thank God indeed for fresh anointing for so many areas in our lives. We have a job to do as Christians - to spread the good news that Jesus saves - and we cannot do it alone.

And finally, the key to fresh anointing is prayer. It is not automatic. We have to ask for it by communicating with God.

James 4:8 “Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field.”

Philippians 4:6 “Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns.”

And Acts 4:31 “While they were praying, the place where they were meeting trembled and shook. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued to speak God’s Word with fearless confidence.”

For us to have that fresh anointing for fruitfulness today, we have to have that deep, intentional connection with God, the Holy Spirit, His Word, the right people, our divine purpose, and prayer.

As we stay connected, we will experience overflowing fruitfulness in every area of our lives. I want that to be my portion. What about you?
