Fresh Anointing

We welcome 2025 as an opportunity to grow in Christ. But we recognize that we need Jesus more than ever. And so every day, we will seek fresh anointing from the Holy Spirit.



1. God’s Promise of Newness

   •   A new year represents new beginnings, and with fresh anointing, God empowers His people for the tasks ahead.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Isaiah 43:19 – “Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?”

      •   Lamentations 3:22-23 – “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”


2. The Power of the Holy Spirit for Renewal

   •   Fresh anointing comes from the Holy Spirit, who empowers, renews, and strengthens us for every season.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Psalm 92:10 – “You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured on me.”

      •   Acts 1:8 – “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you…”


3. Seeking God’s Anointing for Direction and Purpose

   •   At the start of the year, we must seek God’s anointing to walk in alignment with His purpose.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Proverbs 3:5-6 – “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”

      •   Psalm 23:5 – “You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”


4. Fresh Anointing for Overcoming Challenges

   •   Challenges will arise, but a fresh anointing equips us with strength and resilience.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Zechariah 4:6 – “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,” says the Lord Almighty.

      •   Isaiah 10:27 – “…the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”


5. God’s Anointing Brings Joy and Gladness

   •   Fresh anointing fills our hearts with joy, giving us the strength to embrace the year with confidence.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Psalm 45:7 – “You love righteousness and hate wickedness; therefore God, your God, has set you above your companions by anointing you with the oil of joy.”

      •   Nehemiah 8:10 – “The joy of the Lord is your strength.”


6. Walking in a Fresh Covenant with God

   •   Fresh anointing calls for renewed commitment to God, enabling us to be vessels of His glory in the new year.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

      •   Ezekiel 36:26-27 – “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you…”


7. Maintaining the Freshness of the Anointing

   •   Staying in God’s presence through prayer, fasting, and worship allows us to continually experience fresh anointing throughout the year.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Matthew 6:33 – “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.”

      •   Psalm 63:1 – “You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you…”


8. Anointing to Be a Light to the World

   •   Fresh anointing equips us to be agents of change, spreading God’s light in a dark world.

   •   Scriptures:

      •   Isaiah 61:1 – “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor…”

      •   Matthew 5:14-16 – “You are the light of the world…”


Family, we are encouraged to seek God wholeheartedly, and position ourselves to receive His anointing for the year ahead.

Fresh Anointing and Worship

1. Worship Brings Us Into God’s Presence. Worship is the key to entering God’s presence. When we come before Him with a heart of praise, we position ourselves to experience His glory and receive a fresh anointing. • Scripture: “Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and praise His name.” (Psalm 100:4) 2. Fresh Anoinring - Learning from The Genealogies in The Bible

Ever started reading the Bible from cover to cover and stopped by the time you reached Genesis chapter 4? That's when it started talking about who were descendants of who. Those scriptures in Genesis 4, 5, 10 & 11, Ruth 4 and 1 Chronicles 1 about the descendants of Cain and Seth, the genealogy from Adam to Noah and the descendants of Noah's sons, and the genealogy from Shem to Abram, from Perez to King David, and of Israel.
